Staff Profiles

Susan Fenske – President
Susan began EGS, Inc. in 2005 and serves as the president and CEO.  She has been in the staffing industry for over 20 years and has had great success in building her own business and will celebrate her 10 year business anniversary in 2015.  Susan is very strategic and visionary in her business philosophy, holding numerous Federal Government contracts with the DoD, DoE, DOI, and Department of Veteran Affairs.  She has also received numerous certifications for EGS including Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE), Disadvantages Business Enterprise (DBE), and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE), and a Colorado-Woman owned business.  Susan is from Kansas, but has been in Colorado for over 20 years and now calls it home.  She is married and has two grown children in college here in Colorado, a dog named Jack and Callie the cat. She loves spending time with her family in the mountains and at the beach.  She is an avid reader, volunteer and philanthropist, belongs to a Rotary club in Denver, and overall active in her community and church.

Catherine Smith – Practice Director, Engineering
Catherine has been with EGS, Inc. since its inception. She is responsible for recruiting, managing, and sourcing engineers, scientists and other technical positions for our clients on a nationwide basis. She has been in the recruiting field for over 18 years and started her professional /technical recruiting career working for an environmental/engineering staff augmentation company in Lakewood, CO. Catherine has lived in Colorado most of her life when her father was transferred here with Mobil Oil.  She enjoyed growing up in Colorado and her parents have lived in the same house for the last 30 years.   She has an 18 year-old son attending his first year of college at Colorado State University.  Interestingly, her son also attended the same high school that she graduated from.  She is a huge dog lover and has two wonderful dogs, an Australian Sheppard mixed breed named Fluffy Bear and a Chiweenie name Lilly.

Tom Duncan – Federal Programs Manager
Tom’s main responsibility is to manage our Federal Programs but he also responds to new business development opportunities on a weekly basis.  His program management responsibilities include contract compliance, quality assurance, cost control and reporting as well as working as liaison with billing on creating proper invoices. Sales involves reaching out to Contracting Officers, searching for opportunities on federal sites, recruiting quality personnel and coordinating with our team to provide offers in response to Requests for Proposals. Tom began his career in Customer Service/Sales for a textile leasing business and then to outside sales for HVAC and supplies.  Tom then utilized his customer service skills to Federal Government Procurement Support as a contractor to Health and Human Services.  Tom quickly found that he really enjoyed the procurement world and continues to provide that same level of service with EGS to the Federal Government and our employees since March of 2011. Tom is a fourth generation Native, born and raised in the Denver Metro area.  He enjoys the great outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer such as camping, hiking, golf, snow skiing and more.

Sherry Wickersham – Technical Recruiter
Sherry joined EGS in January 2015 first as our accounting manager but her passion for Information Technology and connecting with people made her the perfect fit to move to Technical Recruiting.  Sherry is determined to help people utilize their strengths and match them with perfect opportunities.  In her free-time she enjoys watching her son play baseball and fly airplanes.  She is a “Mountain girl” and enjoys camping, hiking, listening to the elk bugling outside her home and relaxing with family and friends by their outdoor fireplace in Evergreen.  She also studies Italian so call and she will demonstrate her motto: “Mi piace localizzare il lavoro giusto per te” as she finds the right job for you.

Everett Farr - Business Development
Everett graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2014 where he played rugby and studied Sports and Exercise Science.  Everett joined the EGS team in July 2015.  Since then, he has demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm and drive towards his work. Everett loves a good challenge and going after new business in the commercial world is his game and has special emphasis in the light industrial arena.  He has a strong passion for this area as he has worked in numerous positions in warehousing and the moving and storage business while a the same time going to college. He understands a strong work ethic of hard work and reliability being first and foremost. He also enjoys working with returning Veterans and offering them top positions as they have served our country and most certainly have the skill set we are looking for with hard work and reliability times ten! In Everett’s spare time he enjoys sports, fitness and spending quality time with friends and family.

Charlotte Florez – Accounting
Charlotte handles our payroll and billing and assists with numerous administrative staffing procedures. She started with EGS in 2005 and has also been a manager of a services call center. She is a native of Colorado and is married and has three children.  She loves the Denver Broncos, spending time with her family, and going to the mountains, especially in the summer.
